Original Desert Storm PASGT Desert Shield “Chocolate Chip” Helmet Cover

These are the wartime, expedited contract Class 3, Daytime Desert, six color camouflage pattern covers made of nylon/cotton twill WITHOUT button holes for attaching foliage. This was a rush contract in 1990 to supply the troop build up for Operation Desert Shield and remained in use for Operation Desert Storm and later Gulf War actions. There being little foliage in the desert, the omission of the button holes seemed like a practical time saver.
They are made for medium and large PASGT ballistic helmets and in excellent in-issued condition.
