WWII US Army M1936 Combat Suspenders Reproduction
These combat suspenders were designed for use with the M1936 Musette Bag and have the same functionality as the suspenders incorporated into the M1928 Haversack. The supporting straps are adjustable for the soldier’s height and have clips on the ends for attaching them to the web belt and the bottom D rings of the haversack.
This reproduction is good, but not perfect, and is priced as such. It seems to me the thread in the stitching and fabric weight is just slightly lighter weight than the originals and likewise the weight of the fabric and tightness of the weave. The metal hardware is also painted rather than parkerized. In any case, it would be ideal for theatrical, or exhibit display use, or just for kids to enjoy playing WWII soldier with but I wouldn’t guarantee that it would hold up to heavy field use or years of reenacting abuse.
