DENIX REPLICA CIVIL WAR SHARPS 1859 CARBINE MILITARY RIFLE ANTIQUE FINISH
Introduced in 1859 this breech loading rifle was prized for it's accuracy and was used by many Union marksmen during the Civil war. The sharps carbine is the shorter version of the Sharps rifle. It's smaller size and new breech loading mechanism made it a favorite of cavalry soldiers on both sides of the civil war and into the later 1800's. It is made of real wood and cast zinc alloy (Zinc alloy is pretty strong, as zinc is a heavy element and when alloyed with other metals it provides better corrosion resistance, stability, dimensional strength and impact strength. But it is not as strong as stainless steel.)
